May 12: Global and Ecumenical Discussion on the Climate Crisis

Everyone is invited to attend a virtual event, Bold Discipleship: Climate Crisis: Leading the Way through the Storm, on Thursday, May 12, at 12 p.m. EDT. This event provides an opportunity to share in conversation with other United Church members and global, ecumenical, and interfaith partners to learn how they are providing leadership and resources in their context for climate justice.

This is the first of two events with the United Church’s global partners, the second of which will be held on Wednesday, June 1, and will discuss Daring Justice: Engaging in Courageous Conversations across Divides.

“These two events are fruits of the gift of partnership,” say global and ecumenical partners participating in the webinars. “They provide space for us to come together to share ideas and resources from our diverse contexts; tools for bold and daring leadership to address these two challenges facing us all and to which we must respond, namely climate change; and the increasing polarization and division between and among communities. This is needed space to discuss how, as people of faith, we engage to further the common good.”

The May 12 event will be held in English only. You can find further details, including a speaker lineup, and how to register to attend on the event page.
