The Executive continues to deepen their understanding of their role. Understanding that its role is to ask the big questions, it monitored its work throughout the meeting.

The General Council Executive meets on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28. The General Council annual meeting is Oct. 22 at 11 a.m. Registration for the annual meeting will be on CHURCHx.

The General Council Office says “so long, farewell” to Patti Talbot, Shirley Welch and Erik Mathiesen.

Rev. Adekunle Adeniyi and Rev. Jeffrey Dale are newly appointed for a term ending in June 2027.

The GCE has been working on three different but inter-related processes: decolonizing the work of the GCE including its decision-making processes; engagement with education on equity, diversity and anti-oppression, and equity support at meetings.

Katherine serves on the GCE until GC45 in August 2025.
