The annual recall meeting of the 44th General Council met virtually on October 21, 2023. It included greetings from the Partner Council, and recognition of John Egger as the last solo ministry co-worker.
Dr. John Egger returned to Canada from Seoul in January 2023, and completed a period of “Home Assignment” through May 2023. The conclusion of his home assignment marked the end of the United Church's sole Co-Worker in Mission appointments.
These greetings were brought to the General Council by Horacio Mesones, Centro Regional Ecuménico de Asesoría y Servicio (Argentina).
Hope you can join us virtually today. If you're interested in watching the proceedings of today's meeting, the livestream is on the United Church YouTube channel.
