June 10, 2025 will mark 100 years since the formation of The United Church of Canada.
In response, the National Indigenous Council shares their vision statement with the whole church.
All 16 regional councils, the National Indigenous Council, and 80% of pastoral charges in The United Church of Canada participated in the vote on Remit 1: Establishing an Autonomous National Indigenous Organization.
Vote results are currently still being tabulated. For votes that were mailed in by Canada Post, they will be counted, as long as they were post-marked by March 31.
